Happy Valentine’s Day

I believe zeroing in on kindness especially around this time of year when we associate love with St. Valentine’s Day is a good use of personal control.  We know that bullying, name calling, and displays of prejudice are not good role models for our youth. When growing up I remember John F. Kennedy saying, “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country” Especially recently I have taken that to heart, whether it is going out of my way to help, appreciate, or compliment a stranger or friend, holding a door or helping someone, or donating to charities. I truly believe if we all think of kindness as an act or reaction we can control, we will feel more content and create a better world!  So, this Valentine’s Day take control and consider ways to extend acts of kindness.
